New loan recruit is relishing his Elland Road return...

United players thank the fans at Leicester

Loan man Radostin Kishishev is relishing the prospect of an Elland Road return.

Kish returned to the club on Tuesday after agreeing to an initial month-long loan deal from Leicester City.

The Bulgarian international made 10 appearances for United last season and is delighted to be back on familiar ground.

And after playing a key role in the club's bid for Championship survival last term, he is hoping for more success this time around.

"Last year was terrible in terms of results for the club," said Kish. "Leeds went down and it was very sad. We managed to get some points last season, but in the end it wasn't enough.

"The results are unbelievable at the moment though and I hope we can continue. Leeds have to be up there.

"It will be a challenge for me, the club are doing so well, and I have to keep the same standards.

"This is different to last year, and I hope my second spell will be successful."

Kish has initially joined on a 28-day loan and is available for five League One games and the JPT Area Quarter-Final.

With Alan Thompson and Andrew Hughes struggling with injury, Dennis Wise moved quickly to snap up Kish from Leicester.

He joined the Foxes from Charlton during the summer, but has made just seven appearances for the Championship side.

"I signed a two-year at Leicester and the start wasn't very good, for the team and myself as well," he explained.

"Life changes all the time and I've got another spell here and I hope it will be for longer.

"Once I knew that Gus and Dennis wanted me to come, I agreed 100 per cent.

"I'm happy and I hope I can play some part for Leeds, and keep the same standards."

Kish joined in training on Tuesday morning and he observed: "I've only done one session, but the atmosphere is good and more important the results are right.

"The minus 15 have gone, now we have to make the next step."
