Preview: Leeds United vs Preston North End

Whites back at Elland Road.

Leeds United face Preston North End at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon, in game number 28 of the season for both teams.

Daniel Farke’s side take on Ryan Lowe’s Lancashire outfit in a 12:00 kick-off in West Yorkshire, with the teams facing one another again, shortly after the last match on Boxing Day.

Both teams come into the game having won last weekend and will hope that brings confidence and form, ahead of this encounter.

The Whites travelled away from home last Saturday, comfortably defeating Cardiff City. Goals from Patrick Bamford, Dan James and Georginio Rutter secured a 3-0 win, which was the third 3-0 win in a row, to begin 2024.

Preston faced Bristol City on home turf last weekend, also winning and keeping a clean sheet. Will Keane netted a double, to claim a first win of 2024 for the Lilywhites.

Leeds won’t change positions this weekend, but could close the gap to the teams above them in the table. Preston could go as high as ninth and within two points of a play-off position, with a win.

Kick-off in West Yorkshire is at 12:00 and supporter information can be found further down the page, as well as streaming information for fans around the world.
